Still remember “Avatar”, the movie that went viral around the world ten years ago? People who watched it were all amazed by its beautiful scenes and visual arts. Well, some of the scenes are filmed right in the place that we are going to introduce—Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area.
Admitted to the “World Heritage List” in 1992, Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area is one of the most spectacular scenic spots in China. Situated in Hunan Province, the site is dominated by more than 3,000 narrow sandstone pillars and peaks, many over 200m high. Between the peaks, down the ravines, there are also gorgeous streams, pools and waterfalls.
In fact, Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts, namely Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve and Yangjiajie Scenic Area. Despite the strikingly beautiful scenery, such a large and well-protected natural system is also home to many endangered plants and animals.
Come and visit! You don't want to miss such a beautiful view!
