Introduction to Wu Erguo's Peanuts

In the mouths of the people of , there has always been a popular saying, “Wu Erguo's peanuts are not bad in taste, paired with two ounces of liquor, it's simply better than being a !” There must be something praiseworthy for such praise.

Nutritional Value

1. Peanuts contain about 50% lipids, 25% protein, 25% vitamin B1, vitamin B2, and various other vitamins including vitamin E.

2. The lipids contained in peanuts are mainly unsaturated fatty acids, with monounsaturated fatty acids for half of the total.

3. Peanuts contain a variety of proteins, and the composition of amino acids is also very diverse. Among the eight essential amino acids for the body, lysine is present in lesser amounts, while the others are abundant.

Product Features

The peanuts are uniform in size, clean on the outside, bright in color, crispy and fragrant when eaten, and delicious in taste. They are excellent for entertaining guests, giving as gifts, or serving with drinks.

History and Folklore

Wu Erguo's peanuts are a traditional delicacy of Xun County, originating in the mid-Qing dynasty, over two hundred years ago. They are produced in Sixiatou Village, Liyang , and have been passed down through three generations of the Wu Haotian .

Method of Making Wu Erguo's Peanuts

Firstly, select local large peanuts and precious Chinese herbs, soak and marinate the peanut kernels in with eight precious ingredients, then remove and dry them; secondly, heat and stir-fry the peanuts in a large iron pot with fine sand from the old course of the Yellow River, maintaining moderate heat and stirring in one direction until the peanuts float in the hot sand without their skins falling off; finally, lift out the peanuts, dry them, and they are ready to eat.
