Currently, Gongliu County has built tree-dried apricot production bases in Tasituobe Township, Tikareke Township, Aketubei Town, and Jiergelang Township, with planting areas reaching tens of thousands of mu and an output value of 320 million RMB.
Geographical Scope
Gongliu County is located in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, in the upper reaches of the Ili River and the lower reaches of the Tekes River. It borders Xin Yuan County to the east, Yining County to the west, Tekes County and Zhaosu County to the south, and Xin Yuan County to the north. The production area of Gongliu Tree-Dried Apricots is situated between 770m and 2000m above sea level in the northwest of Gongliu County, along the Tianshan Mountains. The terrain is higher in the east and lower in the west, belonging to the type of low and high mountainous landscape. The geographical indication protection area for Gongliu Tree-Dried Apricots includes two townships and one town, covering 11 administrative villages (Tasituobe Township: Tasituobe Village, Unity Village, Yingmaili Village; Tikareke Township: Xiahu Village, Forward Village, Moinguze Village, Akabastu Village, Central Village; Aketubei Town: Hulei Village, Hongguang Village, Qinaer Village). Its geographic coordinates are located in the northwest of Gongliu County at 82°08′00″~83°33′31″ East Longitude and 43°21′01″~43°38′11″ North Latitude, covering a protected area of 3,500 hectares with an annual total production reaching 16,000 tons.
Product Characteristics
(1) Sensory Features: After maturation, the fresh fruit has a bright yellow color with red highlights, the flesh is sweet and fragrant without sourness, and the single dried fruit weighs 5-8 grams. The dried apricots are sweet and tender. After dehydration, the fruit flesh accounts for 74.5% (kernel 25.5%) of each kilogram of dried fruit, the kernel meat makes up 11.4%, and the shell comprises 14.1%.
(2) Intrinsic Quality: The reducing sugar content in Gongliu Tree-Dried Apricots ranges from 14.3 to 19.3 g/100g, protein content from 2.98 to 4.06 g/100g, carotene content from 0.0401 to 0.0854 g/1000g, vitamin E from 0.208 to 0.607 mg/100g, and potassium content from 1.97 to 2.59 g/100g.
(3) Safety Requirements: ① The quality of tree-dried apricots should comply with the regulations set forth in NY/T 5307-2005 for the production of non-polluted food, namely, nuts of deciduous fruit trees. ② The growth environment of tree-dried apricots should meet the standards outlined in NY/T 5013-2006 for the environmental conditions of non-polluted food, specifically for forest fruit products.
