“So Miss You” jujubes come from Zhengxin City, Henan Province, which is known as the jujube hometown. However, due to the unsatisfactory of locally produced jujubes, those mainly produced are centered around Ruoqiang jujubes from Xinjiang. Due to the large number of manufacturers, they generally sign some procurement agreements with farms or jujube farmers in the Ruoqiang area. Therefore, Zhengxin “So Miss You” jujubes and other manufacturers' jujubes basically all come from Ruoqiang, Xinjiang.

“So Miss You” jujubes have a sweet and warm nature, tonifying the spleen and stomach meridians, with functions of replenishing , nourishing blood, calming the mind, and moderating the effects of other herbs. According to modern scientific analysis, “So Miss You” jujubes contain rich proteins, sugars, organic acids, carotene, vitamins, and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and iron. Fresh jujube flesh contains 300-600 mg of C per 100 grams, about 15 times higher than apples, thus earning it the nickname of “fresh vitamin pill.” The sugar content in fresh jujube flesh reaches 23%, while that in dried jujube flesh can be as high as 70%, which is even higher than the sugar content in sugarcane or sugar beet, the raw materials for sugar production. Hence, there is a saying among the people: “Three jujubes a day keep you young forever.”

Zhengxin jujubes are favored by people for their thin skin, thick flesh, small pits, and sweet taste. They contain 18 amino acids essential for the human body and include proteins, fats, sugars, organic acids, and substances such as phosphorus, calcium, iron, and vitamins B, C, and P. They are natural vitamin fruits.

Historical Folklore

In the Han Dynasty, people had already recognized the medicinal value of jujubes, as evidenced by the poem “The Immortals on High Never Age, Drinking Sacred Spring Water and Eating Jujubes When Hungry,” engraved on a bronze mirror discovered in the Zhengxin folk area. By the Ming Dynasty, the planting of jujube trees in Zhengxin had reached a considerable scale, and one of the Ten Great Scholars of the Ming Dynasty, Gao Qi, left behind the poem “Several Hu of Jujubes Gathered Under Frosty Skies, Peeling Them Can Replace in Jiangnan.” During the time of Prime Minister Zichan in the , the streets inside and outside the capital of the State of Zheng were lined with rows of jujube trees. Today's Zhengxin jujubes are mainly distributed around Mengzhuang Town in Zhengxin City, an original ecological jujube tree area.

Jujube and Goji Berry Porridge
