Qiaoting Small Seed Peanuts
Introduction to Qiaoting Small Seed Peanuts The peanut, also known as the groundnut or a dicotyledonous plant, has reticulate veins in its leaves and seeds enclosed within a peanut hull. Historically, it was referred to as the longevity nut or the soybean of the Tang Dynasty. The kernels within the peanut shell are commonly known as peanut kernels or peanut seeds, consisting of a seed coat, cotyledons, and an embryo. The seed coat is light brown or pale red in color. Liu Shu Quan Jumbo Dates
Basic Introduction to Liu Shu Quan Jumbo DatesThe Liu Shu Quan Farm of the 13th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is located on the northwest edge of Hami, at the foot of the eastern Tianshan Mountains in Balikun's alluvial and diluvial inclined plains. The Liu Shu Quan Farm is a multi-ethnic, unique state-owned farm and the birthplace of Hami dates. Dates are the mainstay industry of the farm. For a long time, locals have been planting jumbo dates around their homes and at field edges. Since the 1990s, the farm has accelerated the development of jumbo dates as a 'famous, high-quality, special' leading product. Due to the farm's typical temperate continental arid climate, with abundant sunlight, rich heat, large temperature differences between day and night, severe cold in winter, little snow, hot and dry summers, scarce rain, strong evaporation, and frequent strong winds, the soil is mainly loam and Gobi gravel sandy soil. Organic matter content is relatively rich, and the soil is fertile, which is very suitable for the growth of jumbo dates. Therefore, the fruit produced is large, bright red with luster, full grains, fewer wrinkles, thick and delicate flesh, thin skin, small seeds, and also… -
Cultural Bridges: A BFSU scholar’s journey at the Xinjiang Museum
As a doctoral student from Sri Lanka, I recently embarked on a research study tour in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, focusing on ethnic integration, Silk Road culture, and civilizational exchange and mutual learning. My journey took me to the Xinjiang Museum, where I delved into the region's rich history and culture. This cultural trip not only shed new light on my academic pursuits but also deepened my appreciation for Xinjiang's diverse history and culture. By visiting in person, I gained a deeper understanding of the region's historical culture, ethnic customs, and modern achievements. This allowed me to form a more comprehensive and objective view of Xinjiang and to appreciate China in a more true, three-dimensional, and holistic way. The Xinjiang Museum is like a portal to ancient civilizations, where each exhibition hall represents a chapter of old memories, guiding me through the mingling of ethnicities and cultures on this land. As I wandered through the halls, it felt as if I could hear history whispering and feel the breath of culture. One exhibit area that showcased ethnic integration particularly captivated me. A stone monument, inscribed with Chinese, Uyghur, and other minority languages, symbolized not just cultural exchange but also… -
