On April 6, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Xinyang Maojian tea harvest season was held simultaneously across multiple famous tea mountains in the Shilhe District of Xinyang City. At the branch venue on Cheyun Mountain in Dongjihe Town, Shilhe District, an auction was held for the first-picked new tea. After nearly 20 rounds of bidding, 50 pounds of the first-picked tea from Cheyun Mountain sold for 31,000 yuan per pound.
The starting bid for this batch of first-picked spring tea was 10,000 yuan per pound, with bidding increments of 1,000 yuan. Once the auction began, dozens of buyers took turns placing bids, leading to intense competition. After nearly 20 rounds of bidding, a middle-aged man successfully secured the lot.
